DECISIONS 101
Daily we make decisions on all subjects. What time to rise, what to eat for B. L. or D., what to wear, what’s the plan today, which dog to bathe first, should I buy the Ford or the Toyota, which state to call my permanent residence, etc., etc. It appears that life is loaded with decisions, small and large. I believe a decision on the origin of our species is possibly the most subtle and far- reaching personal decision, so here it is: Did our ancestors crawl out of the ocean? (Much like a Japanese Mud Skipper – Google it.) -- Or – did our ancestors crawl out of the Garden of Eden after being evicted by God? How we understand the world & man & God & history is muchly affected by one origin decision or the other, when we choose.
If we decide for the Darwin THEORY, then the world has to be hundreds of millions of years old. Our distant "Mud Skippers" became monkeys, then apes, then those wonderful Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons, Piltdown man, Clovis people, etc. (Most of these have been fabrications by eager evolutionists.) Consequently, most of Bible teaching & answers appear to be just silly myths, because basically man created God to fulfill his religious needs. I find the Darwin path to be DECEITFUL because it always was a THEORY, but has been force fed to pupils & students from grade 1 to college and beyond. Now we have a nation of intelligent people who are immunized/vaccinated AGAINST faith in God by the subtle theories they were systematically led to believe as FACT. The U.S. and much of the western world has a shrinking Godly value system and are falling into liberal hopelessness. (Lucifer & his demon associates are and always were smooth operators.) Many churches are neglected, and the jails are full . . .
If we decide for the Eden eviction because we failed God, we are acknowledging Him as a basis of thought. We were created by, and accountable to that God of Genesis. We are respecting the Word of God, and it is a progressive revelation of God, man, the world & time, eternity, etc. Fallen man’s need of salvation is a constant theme. From the Bible we can learn what FAITH is, and how it activates man’s relationship with God if we seek Him. Answers such as – How did B.C. people and Jews find salvation before Jesus came along? – What about all the OTHER religions of the world if Jesus is the only way? – etc. etc. – are available if we are open to Biblical answers. (Many souls are not open to those answers because they are set in the decision of the Mud Skipper Daddy.) Now I love the gospels – how they give the account of Jesus. He dealt with all kinds of people & situations. Ironically, the Jews who had the most education – the Pharisees – were the most difficult for Christ to reach. They had their stubborn traditions of unbelief, so they contradicted Jesus frequently, and accused Him of even being possessed. Ultimately, they had Christ executed. It’s the same today. “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 But to those who loved & believed in Jesus, he explained everything. (And I think some of them took notes . . .) “. . . but privately to his own disciples he explained everything.” Mark 4:34b As we walk with Christ as a friend, answers on many subjects just seem to appear. “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” Proverbs 4:18
Decisions – I think that’s why each person is on this planet. I would encourage all to go with the Eden decision. That is, we came from there, and the Book shows the way to regain “paradise” – God’s blessing in this world, and heaven in the next. Choose Jesus, He is alive, AND He is the way.
