Invisible Support

        Support is a basic fact of life in this world. A chair has to have legs. A car has to have wheels. A tree has to have a trunk. The house roof has to have walls to hold it up. Etc. etc. Then looking at human psychological & practical needs, there must be support systems. Without support systems people are or feel lost & insecure. The standard support system is one’s family & circle of friends which give good “social vibrations”, which is necessary & maybe vital. Other support systems are:
- School associates whether Grade School, H.S., or College
- Church groups & affiliation
- The hippy culture of the 60’s & 70’s was a classic S.S. (did it go away?)
- LGBT culture is a support system (but in Orlando they have serious problems)
- Motorcycle clubs are a typical S.S.
- National folks such as Jewish, Asian, Jamaican, China towns, some immigrants - these typical groups can    hang together as support systems (but not Americans as we tend to be “Cannibals” link 29)
- Animal lovers have a S.S. with their pets because there is unconditional love/support there
- Internet & Facebook connection for young & old – another classic S.S.
      But what about “Invisible Support”?? The New Testament & Jesus Christ reveal the most classic Biblical Support System, and it amounts to “Invisible Support”. It is MORE than a religious belief system – it’s based on a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ (who is also invisible). And it really is like pulling things out of the air. Of course the world sees a farce or “immaculate deception”, but the relationship with Jesus can be felt – if not immediate, then in a short while after one makes a sincere adult decision for Christ & His atonement.
      Now the church is where Christian believers belong, and they should get the relationship teaching there. They should also get a wholesome social support system. But I believe “Invisible Support” goes above & beyond church involvement/attendance. It doesn’t replace church, it’s what the Born Again believer should take with him that 99% of time he is not inside the walls of the church. “Invisible Support” & relationship w/J.C. encompasses the core issues of salvation: deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, & soundness (Scofield). But also brotherhood, confidence in God, emotional victory, answered prayer, feeling Divine presence & guidance, prosperity, and comfort from above. Yes that’s all a tall order but it can be and IS what the Book teaches. And the Christian can have it with him/her 24-7. That’s “Invisible Support”, and that’s why I write Gospel-notes. God’s salvation is good stuff, NOT junk.  My experience of 45 years.  Thank you Jesus.

-- 1 Peter 3:12  "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But       the face of the Lord is against those that do evil."
       I realize this Gospel-note doesn’t mention eternal life & hell, just the “living it” part of Christianity (which is the hard part). But if we get the temporal right, the “final transition” will certainly take care of itself, and eternal life in Heaven is said to be premium, fine, & good.  Choose Jesus, He is Alive. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Rev. 3:20 See Link 28 “What’s In It For Me”.
