Seven Mysteries Of Life
We've all heard of the seven wonders of the world. Well why can't there be seven mysteries of life? I think there are at least seven.
1). Without fangs or venom, the king snake can and will kill a rattlesnake bigger than himself, and he will eat it all at once. Amazing.
2). Newlywed couples (and others) trying passionately to make babies when that is the last thing they need.
3). Religious snake handlers in Appalachia dancing in church with vipers in hand, passing them around in a frenzy, and rarely getting bit. Unbelievable but true. (I want to see this in person but I'll sit in the back close to the door.)
4). A man marrying another man. (Women marry women too, but at least they smell better.) Either way it's a mystery.
5). People with bad life habits such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc. feeding the monkeys on their backs. They should kill those rascals ASAP but they often don't.
6). Elvis now has been dead 41 years and he is making more money than ever. (How can he spend it in that small living space six feet under?)
7). God visited this world personally in the form of J.C. and proved himself by walking on water, raising the dead, healing blind eyes, turning water into wine (and not getting drunk), and other awesome deeds. THEN He allowed himself to be brutally murdered by his creatures to become the Lamb of God. This has to be the most mysterious class act of all time. And we have all heard of the resurrection & ascension into heaven of Christ after He was dead 3 days. Now it’s been almost two thousand years and people say He's still alive and active in this world, soon to return personally.
Well, I don't understand the first six mysteries on this page, and nobody with only human intelligence understands #7. But when we believe it, God has promised to open our eyes to His reality & bless us the way only He can in life and eternity. Jeremiah 29:11-12 "I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you." John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Choose Jesus and His Spirit - they are alive & mysteriously good.
