Too Many Questions -

Not enough answers. But this month, September 2014 Time Magazine asked many rare questions and even attempts to answer them. Such as: When will we go to Mars? How much hair is on your head? What is the most addictive drug? Are we there yet? Are you smarter than a teenager? How many guns are in America? What’s the world’s perfect sandwich? How many private jets do Americans own? How many prisoners believe in God? When is the Bible most given as a gift? When does the princess save the world? What is the meaning of life? Why are we here?
Now I found Time’s answers to be interesting at least. A couple questions of my own are these: How old is God? Where did He come from? And I know we can’t answer those, but Time’s “What is the Meaning of Life?," can be addressed from a Biblical viewpoint. Acts 17:26-27 comes by Divine inspiration & reveals “He made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth . . . that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him.” That is possibly the most concise answer to life the world’s books offer – and I know lots of folks won’t touch it BECAUSE it’s a Bible reference. (But all intelligent & logical minds should at least give the Bible and God a chance.)
If we can accept that scripture above, then the next question is this, how do I make peace, and connect with God? Jesus Christ being God in the flesh was uniquely qualified to show humanity the answer to that question. One of the MANY things He said was “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 Then He died as the Atonement for our sins. Accepting these Bible truths is very basic to our connection. I would suggest to any new seeker to open the New Testament to the gospel of John chapter 1, and lay your hand on that page & say “Lord Jesus, I want your salvation & Holy Spirit, please draw me into it” see also Romans 10:9.  Then get into a Bible believing church if you want to grow as a Christian.
The individual’s purpose/meaning of life has to be enhanced by the spiritual connection above. And scripture does bear this out for those who read it. “I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare & not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will come to me and pray to me, and I will hear you.”   Jeremiah 29:11-13   Too many Christians are bashful about God’s touch & don’t expect much personal involvement in their lives. My experience has been “very real”, & I am convinced God radiates down on believers a lot of good stuff (See link #28 “What’s In It For Me”.) While much of the purpose of life is a Divine character test to see what we are made of, I believe God at the same time leads people into their best niche. And that is the “place” where we maximize happiness & joy, while minimizing heartburn & strife. “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.”   Proverbs 4:18
Now we all have a less than perfect body, mind, & local situation, but a healthy attitude is priceless - “A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.”   Proverbs 17:22   And of course all can be “saved” and live in God’s favor/blessing. We may always have more questions than answers, but we can have some of the best answers, & be victorious with God’s help. “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but what is revealed belongs to us and to our children forever. . .”  Deuteronomy 29:29    Choose Jesus, He is alive.
