What’s In The Air?

      Air is an interesting substance made up of invisible gasses such as Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon and Carbon dioxide & other trace elements. The Earth has an atmosphere that’s about 20 miles thick which is denser at sea level but gets thinner as you go up. Humans have trouble with the air from about 15,000 ft. & higher due to lack of Oxygen. Air is useful for enabling birds and aircraft to fly, also for burning up such things as meteors which would make troublesome craters across the landscape. But what is in the air – especially things we cannot see?
--   Moisture is a huge element carried by invisible air. Most weather is due to the way heat & moisture interacts in           the air. Fog & clouds are visible, but moisture not usually.
--   Fragrance such as perfume, light smoke, road-kill skunk aroma, etc. are not visible. (The skunk is one of God’s most       powerful creatures – dead 4 days & still strong.)
--   Flammable gas such as natural gas, acetylene or propane are invisible & can blow the house apart.
--   Radio waves carry all kinds of signals for radio, TV, cell phones, etc. In a typical room there will be dozens or               maybe hundreds of different radio frequencies & all sorts of interactions – conversations, texting, still pics,                 movie, you name it – all invisible.
--   Magnetism is an invisible force in the air making the compass needle point north. Birds & insects use it for                   navigation.
--   A scientist or doctor could list more technical and invisible “elements” in the air.
      From the above “items” in the air it can be said that our air & atmosphere is not necessarily clean, or neutral. And for decades I have reflected on what spiritual things are in the air. Things like Holy Spirit, Angels, demons, etc. Concerning spiritual concepts in the air, I’ve been asked in a very nasty way, “How can you believe what you can’t see?” But that question is weak to anyone who thinks & considers what natural invisible items can be in the air. If there is a God & spiritual elements, why wouldn’t they be in the air? Do us humans have the only ability to put invisible things in the air? Can God not use the air He invented for His own purposes? I have personally experienced angels before any commitments to God, and yes, demons too. See “The Demon” link 43.  
      I believe people who pursue sin with a passion, or smoke dope attract demons to themselves. It’s not just the collective mind of our sinful associates (& youth culture), but unseen elements in the air that can & do home in on people, and when demons come near in power, they don’t identify themselves as Satanic – deception & disguise wins more customers. Likewise, those who are considering God & seeking Him attract angels to themselves. And there is a network of Divine laws & principles in the air which can enhance & empower the Christian life if applied. See “Faith” link 75. I didn’t invent this kind of thinking – the scriptures clearly reveal it to those who want to know.
--    “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the prince of        the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:1-2
--    “For we wrestle not against flesh & blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the                darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
--    “The thief (Lucifer & his demon buddies) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come           that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” – Jesus said that. John 10:10
--    “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who are to attain salvation?” Hebrews 1:14            (referring to angels)
      To conclude I would say in this mixed “atmosphere” we should breathe in the name of Jesus & the Holy Spirit & Divine principles. Exhale or "breathe" out the unproductive elements of worldliness that are capable of ruining our eternal souls. Choose Jesus, He is Alive. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.”   Revelation 3:20  See also link 27 "The World".
